ABSTRACT
CONCLUSION:
LASIK for treatment of residual myopia after myopic LASIK surgery is an effective and safe method. Postoperatively complications like DLK and epithelial ingrowth can be seen.
Results:
Mean follow up time was 20.05±23.74 months. With LASIK surgery mean sphe-ric equivalent decreased from -2.92±1.59 D to -0.59±0.72 D. At the last visit 65% of eyes were within ± 0.5 D, 80% were within ±1.0 D and all eyes were within ±2.0 D. Postoperatively mean uncorrected visual acuity was statistically significantly higher than preoperative value (p= 0.000). No intraoperative serious complication occured.
Material-Methods:
Twenty eyes of 12 patients with residual myopia after LASIK were operated in this study. Mean spherical equivalent before treatment was -2.92±1.59 dioptry (D). Original flaps were lifted for reablation after a mean period of 10.75±11.96 months.
Purpose:
To evaluate efficacy and safety of laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) for cor-rection of residual myopia after primary myopic LASIK.
