ABSTRACT
Conclusion:
In this study, no elevation was determined in aqueous homocysteine levels of patients with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma.
Results:
The homocysteine levels in aqueous humor of patients with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma was 3.3 micromol/L and 3.6 micromol/L in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between both groups in terms of aqueous humor homocysteine levels.
Materials and Methods:
Aqueous humor homocysteine levels were measured in 35 patients. However, because of inadequate sample, the aqueous humor homocysteine levels could not evaluated in 11 pseudoexfoliation glaucoma patients. The study was consisted of 12 patients with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and 12 age matched controls with no history of ocular disease except cataract.
Aim:
To compare aqueous humor homocysteine levels of patients with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma with age matched controls.
