We descibe a case with ophthalmia nodosa. A 25-years-old female referred our clinic with a stingy sensation and pain in the left eye. Multiple tiny filamentous corneal foreign bodies and reaction in the surrounding corneal tissues were detected. Visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes and the remaining ophthalmological examination was unremarkable. The superficial foreign bodies were removed under biomicroscopy and corneal inflammation was treated with topical corticosteroid drops. In case of similar clinical picture and ocular inflammation, ophthalmia nodosa should be considered in differential diagnosis and should be treated promptly.
